Localisation of Samos

Samos, the beautiful Greek island in the Aegean sea which lies before the coast of Little Asia, is known for their unique sweet muscat wine. The hills and mountains are exceptionally green and nature truly flourishes there. There are beautiful caves and monasteries to visit and offcourse we can't forget to mention the endless white sandy beaches.

The presence of the old Greek culture can be experienced at the many important archeological places. For instance you can visit the temple of Hera on the southern side of the island or take a trip to the Polykrateian walls, Roman baths or the beautiful fisherman's villages like Kokkari which are certainly worth your attention.

According to historians the glory time of Samos was around the 6th century before Christ when the island started to play a important cultural role and the economy was very thriving.
